Intern, Event Services
Intern Requirements:
- Must be a junior, senior, postgraduate student pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university, or within a year post graduation with preferred majors of Event Management, Sports Management, or related field. (If you do not meet the internship requirements, please do not apply.)
- Ability to work in-person in Phoenix, Arizona from March 2026 โ October 2026
- Maximum of 30 hours per week
Job PurposeThe Event Services Internship role is to provide support to the Event Services department. In doing so, the Intern will gain a deep understanding of event planning and operations while learning valuable skills to assist them in their future career.
Primary Duties
- Assist with planning and execution of baseball games, baseball related events, and internal events.
- Help in the creation of event setup sheets.
- Assist in maintaining meeting room reservations and the online event calendar.
- Assist in creating events on the game day staff scheduling platform.
- Take accurate notes during Homestand Meetings.
- Tasked with check event setups for accuracy.
- Organize Pre-game field credential requests.
- Administrative duties as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities
- Excellent customer service skills, friendly, outgoing personality.
- Excellent communication skills (written, phone and face-to-face).
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Publisher.
- Strong ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment.
- Maintain a neat, professional appearance.
- Ability to remain calm and focused during a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment to diffuse volatile situations.
- Ability to memorize the layout of Chase field in order to answer general questions (seating sections, restrooms, concession stands, novelty shops, tabling locations, and other facility services and amenities).
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
- Flexible schedule (variety of shifts) to include weekends, morning, evenings, and some holidays.
- Maximum of 30 hours per week.
- Ability to stand for the entire shift.
- Ability to walk throughout Chase Field, up and down stairs, aisles, and on uneven surfaces (ramps).
- Ability to bend, work in high elevations (all levels of the ballpark), and enclosed spaces.
- Must be comfortable working in large crowds. Noise levels in the work environment are frequently loud.
- Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors-May be exposed to all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
