Position Summary
The Marketing & Sponsorship Fulfillment Intern will support the Orlando Valkyries’ marketing and partnership initiatives through hands-on experience in campaign execution, sponsor activation, and event support. This seasonal internship offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to professional sports marketing while contributing to the team’s brand growth and community impact. The intern will work closely with the Marketing & Communications team to assist in fulfilling sponsor obligations, engaging fans, and promoting team events.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Support
Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns for ticket sales, merchandise, and special events.
Help create promotional materials including flyers, social media graphics, and email content.
Participate in brainstorming sessions for fan engagement and community outreach initiatives.
Support grassroots marketing efforts including street team activities and local outreach.
Sponsorship Fulfillment
Help track and organize sponsor deliverables including signage, digital content, and in-game activations.
Assist in preparing recap reports and documentation for sponsor fulfillment.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure sponsor visibility across platforms.
Game Day & Event Activation
Attend home games and select team events to assist with sponsor activations and fan engagement.
Help set up and manage in-venue signage, tabling, and promotional giveaways.
Capture content and assist with live updates during matches and events.
Community Engagement
Support planning and logistics for community events, youth programming, and player appearances.
Help build relationships with local organizations and assist with outreach efforts.
Administrative & Reporting Tasks
Assist with tracking marketing performance metrics and compiling reports.
Maintain organized records of marketing and sponsorship activities.
Support day-to-day administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Communications, or a related field.
Strong interest in sports marketing, sponsorship, and fan engagement.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for games and events.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic design or editing tools is a plus.
