DC Power FC is a proud member of the USL Super League and plays its home matches at the state-of-the-art Audi Field in Washington, D.C. As one of the newest additions to the USL’s top women’s league, DC Power FC offers a unique opportunity for highly motivated individuals to gain hands-on experience helping launch and grow a professional expansion franchise in the nation’s capital.
Position Summary:
DC Power FC is seeking a Ticket Sales & Service Intern for the Spring and Summer semesters. This individual will work closely with the Director of Ticket Sales & Partnerships, supporting a growing team through various aspects of ticketing operations including outbound sales, customer service, event support, and community engagement. The ideal candidate has a passion for sports and sales, strong communication skills, and an eagerness to grow within the sports industry.
Compensation:
This is an unpaid internship. The selected candidate must be eligible to receive course credit from an accredited college or university for completing it.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with outbound sales for season tickets, premium seating, and group experiences through cold calling, email outreach, and in-person meetings.
- Participate in grassroots and community events to promote DC Power FC and generate leads.
- Support ticket operations including order processing, distribution, and customer service.
- Work matchdays at Audi Field, assisting fans at the box office and providing support for the ticketing and service team.
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, lead tracking, and maintaining sales spreadsheets.
- Engage with current season ticket members to ensure a top-tier fan experience.
- Assist in executing fan activation strategies and group theme nights.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the ticketing department.
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong interest in women’s professional sports and/or ticket sales.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail and organization.
- Prior customer service or sales experience is a plus.
Requirements:
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and eligible for academic credit for this internship.
- The selected candidate must pass a background check.
- Must be available to work 15–25 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and DC Power FC home matches.
