Job Purpose

The Intern, Spanish Social Media role supports the coverage and engagement of the D-backs’ English and Spanish social media accounts in increasing brand awareness, growing fan engagement, improving marketing efforts, and creating engaging content. The Social Media team collaborates across key organizational functions, including marketing, ticketing, corporate partnerships, community impact, and broadcasting, and works closely with communications, photography, video production, and creative design to ideate and generate compelling and informational content. 

Intern Requirements

Fluent in English and Spanish.

  • Must be a college junior or senior, postgraduate student, or within one-year post-graduation with preferred majors of Communications, Journalism, Sports Management, pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Must be able to work in-person at both Chase Field in Downtown Phoenix and Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in Scottsdale for the entire duration of the internship (February or March 2026 – October 2026). Remote work is not available for this position.
  • Maximum of 30 hours per week.

 Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Support the social media team as they look to build the team’s brand and generate interest & awareness in both the on-field and off-field products.
  • Develop and curate engaging content for Spanish social media accounts that tells the story of the Arizona Diamondbacks, both on and off the field, including Spanish to English translations.
  • Collaborate with the social media team to provide entertaining live coverage of games on Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
  • Assist with the management of the team’s ancillary accounts and initiatives (e.g. D-backs Give Back, Chase Field, Baxter, etc.).
  • Research and monitor other team and league social accounts to develop new concepts, ideas, and best practices.
  • Help track campaigns, including MLB initiatives, sponsorships, etc., for research and reporting purposes.
  • Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels.

  • Passion for baseball and proficiency with social media platforms and social media management tools.
  • Strong attention to detail with outstanding copywriting and copy-editing skills.
  • Self-starter with desire to track and implement social media trends and strategies.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, in Spanish and English.
  • Experience in photography, videography, and/or graphic design.
  • Proficiency working with the Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud suites.
  • Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to multitask and think quickly, responding to events developing in real time with mature decision-making.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and a self-starter that can take initiative on new ideas and projects.

 Experience/Education Requirements:

  • Pursuing or recently received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Sports Management, or a closely related discipline.
  • Familiarity will all current social media platforms.
  • Working Condition and Physical Demands:
  • Ability to work the majority of workouts and/or games during Spring Training at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick and Regular Season home games at Chase Field, including late nights and/or early mornings.
  • Ability to provide remote coverage (based in Phoenix) of approximately 40-45 road games, including late nights and/or early mornings.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in Scottsdale and Chase Field in Downtown Phoenix.
