Orlando Valkyries – Ticket Sales & Service Intern

Position Summary
 

The Ticket Sales & Service Intern will support the Orlando Valkyries’ ticketing department through hands-on experience in sales outreach, customer service, and gameday operations. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to professional sports business practices while contributing to the team’s fan engagement and revenue goals. The intern will work closely with the Director of Strategic Partnerships & Ticket Sales and other team members to assist with sales campaigns, CRM management, and client servicing. 
 

Key Responsibilities
 

Sales Support & Outreach
 
Assist with outbound sales efforts including calls, emails, and lead generation. 
Help maintain and update prospect lists for season, group, and premium ticket packages. 
Participate in sales meetings and training sessions to learn best practices. 

Customer Service & Account Management
 
Support the ticketing team in responding to client inquiries and service requests. 
Help manage season ticket holder and group leader communications. 
Assist with ticket exchanges, upgrades, and special accommodations. 

CRM & Data Entry
 
Input and update customer records in the team’s CRM system. 
Track outreach activity and assist in reporting on sales performance. 
Help analyze CRM data to identify trends and opportunities. 

Gameday & Event Responsibilities
 
Assist with gameday operations including client hosting, ticket resolution, and activation setup. 
Support group experiences and hospitality areas during matches. 
Represent the team at community events and promotional appearances. 

Team Culture & Collaboration
 
Contribute to a positive and energetic office environment. 
Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support team initiatives. 
Demonstrate professionalism, enthusiasm, and a team-first attitude. 
 

Qualifications
 
Currently pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field. 
Strong interest in sports sales, customer service, and fan engagement. 
Excellent communication and organizational skills. 
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. 
Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office is a plus. 
Passion for volleyball and the sports industry.
