About the Outer Banks Flying Dutchman:
The Outer Banks Flying Dutchman are a summer collegiate baseball team participating in the Old North State League based in Kill Devil Hills, Outer Banks, NC. We compete at a high level while delivering a fun, family-friendly experience for fans across the region. We're seeking enthusiastic interns to join our game day and front office team for the 2025 season.
Position Summary:
This unpaid internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sports operations, marketing, and community engagement. Interns will play a key role in the day-to-day success of the team throughout the summer season.

This unpaid internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sports operations, marketing, and community engagement. Interns will play a key role in the day-to-day success of the team throughout the summer season.
Internship Areas:
- Assistant General Manager: Support General Manager in administrative tasks, overseeing the intern class, and ensuring smooth flow of the game
- Game Day Operations: Set up and break down, support in-game activities
- Marketing & Promotions: Assist with promotions, contests, giveaways, and fan interaction
- Social Media & Content: Capture and post photos/videos, create engaging content
- Ticketing & Merchandise: Help with ticket sales, fan check-in, and merchandise sales
- Community Outreach: Coordinate local events and team appearances
Qualifications:
- Current college student or recent graduate (sports management, communications, marketing, etc.)
- Strong interest in baseball and the sports industry
- Outgoing, responsible, and able to work independently and on a team
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and outdoors
- Social media, photography, or video editing experience is a plus
Details:
- Location: Kill Devil Hills, Outer Banks, NC
- Duration: May 26th – July 2025
- Compensation: Unpaid (college credit available)
