P3R Operations Intern

Best known for organizing the acclaimed annual DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon, P3R is looking for an Operations Intern who will work from the fall through the spring of 2026 and support P3R’s fall and spring events, including the Parade Day Dash, NFL Draft, and the DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon. P3R also organizes a variety of other high-quality races, training runs, and health and fitness programs throughout the Pittsburgh region.
Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager on logistics and signage planning for all P3R events.
  • Coordinate specific projects as assigned by the Operations Manager.
  • Assist with signage coordination and management, including inventory, tracking, sorting, organizing, researching, and planning for future events.
  • Support warehouse management, inventory, and overall organization.
  • Help create plans, maps, and other documents for specific projects.
  • Assist with notifying venues around the city about the impact of P3R events and manage the overall notification listings and tracking.
  • Support the ordering of race supplies and equipment, including researching new equipment and ideas.
  • Contribute to developing plans for vendors.Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Open to college sophomores, juniors, seniors, and recent graduates.
  • Available to work at least 15 hours a week. Schedule is flexible, but must be within regular 9 AM–5 PM core business hours.
  • Willing to work occasional nights and weekends to assist with events.
  • All majors are encouraged to apply.
  • Outgoing personality with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and professional demeanor.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel; familiarity with PowerPoint, Illustrator, and CAD is a plus.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination.
Compensation:
Interns will be paid an hourly rate and will work an average of 15 to 20 hours per week, depending on schedules and events.
