Social Content Intern โ Atlanta Dream
The Atlanta Dream is seeking a Social Content Intern to join our content team during the 2025 WNBA season for a one-year internship. This is a hands-on opportunity to help elevate our brand across social media platforms through engaging, real-time content that brings the energy of the Dream to life.
Youโll collaborate with content creators, social media managers, and the marketing and communications teams to concept, create, and post content from courtside moments to community events. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of social trends, a sharp eye for visual storytelling, and a passion for womenโs sports.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Capture & Creation
- Capture real-time video/photo content at practices, home games, and team events (including behind-the-scenes and candid moments)
- Shoot and edit a variety of short-form videos for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter
Social Media Management
- Assist in publishing game day content across TikTok, Instagram, Twitter/X, and YouTube
- Help manage game day workflow: pull early-quarter content from Getty/ScorePlay, upload celebration/VIP content postgame, and share assets across platforms
- Utilize Slate for content creation and posting
- Caption writing and copyediting with attention to brand voice
Content Organization & Archiving
- Contribute to maintaining an organized digital asset system and work directly with social media manager to content calendar
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Participate in weekly content meetings and planning sessions
- Work closely with the marketing and communications teams to ensure alignment across all channels (social, web, in-arena)
Analytics & Trends
- Monitor platform trends and surface new ideas for content formats
- Support evaluation of content performance across platforms (reach, engagement, shares, etc.)
Requirements
- Recent graduate in Marketing, Media, Journalism, or related field
- Understanding of and passion for social platforms: TikTok, Instagram, Twitter/X, YouTube
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop) or mobile editing tools like CapCut/InShot
- Previous experience capturing and editing short-form content
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
- Team player with a positive, proactive attitude
- Available for all home games and flexible to work nights and weekends
- Interest in women's basketball, storytelling, and sports media is a strong plus
