Key Components:
This position is reserved for Federal Work Study (FWS) students only.
- In a student employee capacity, may assist in working with external community service partners.
- Support the mission, purpose, and goals of the YMCA, while performing the duties listed below.
- Coordination/implementation of ALL accurate and timely communications/social media content updates with Camp Leadership for all Camp programs
- Actively and enthusiastically solicit input from Camp staff through conscientious and proactive interaction to ensure timely, quality, and impactful communications which result in program and Camp goals being met
- Coordinates the creation of Camp communications and calendars with Camp leadership for the development of all Camp programs
- Aligns digital content with the YMCAโs marketing and communications strategies and develops related web content and email initiatives with a direct impact on Camp programs and registration
- Compiles reports and provides regular updates to Camp leadership on the progress of strategic plans
Job Description:
- Work with local organization(s) or community partners
- Provide excellent customer service as a representative of the University
- May assist with planning, organizing, and implementing community services or programs
- May assist with various projects, activities or tasks related to community projects
- May contribute to developing and maintaining good relationships with internal and external partners
- May serve as a source to provide information about resources and assistance related to community program(s) or service(s)
- May serve to enhance outreach for the greater Waco community
- Ensure confidentiality of all pertinent information
- May prepare and present information in a group or workshop setting
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylorโs mission
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and effective time management skills; effectively manage multiple projects with deadlines in an efficient manner
- Ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities in a focused and timely manner; proactively addressing issues as they arise
- Experience working independently and following directions, with minimal supervision
- Independent self-starter with effective problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and integrate information from relevant sources and make appropriate decisions
- Ability to remain composed under stress and take responsibility for delivering on personal and organizational goals and commitments
- Proficient in MS Office, desktop publishing software, Daxko Engage, Marq, Facebook, Instagram
- Working knowledge of WordPress with an understanding of HTML/CSS
- Knowledge of how to prep artwork for both web and social media purposes
