Targeted Internship Dates: January - March 2026 Hands on introduction to many elements of golf tournament operations including exposure to financial management and reporting, inventory maintenance, and coordination of the tournament and daily logistics of the event.
Daily Job Responsibilities
Coordinate delivery, proper placement and service schedule with portable restroom partner
Work with volunteer committees so ensure they are prepared for tournament week
Assist with placement and set up of all office trailers
Coordinate golf cart inventory, delivery and pickup; create intake plan and work with volunteer committee tournament week to ensure proper allocation of carts
Create and utilize a log for each shipment prior to tournament week; assist volunteer committee during tournament week to ensure proper delivery of shipments
Oversee any forklift needs the tournament may have. Tournament will provide proper certifications
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Interest in Event Management, Marketing and/or Sports Marketing
Ability to work in a team environment
Public relations skills and ability to communicate with staff, volunteers and corporate clients
Must take initiative, operate proactively and think independently in project management
Capacity to work on several projects simultaneously
Self-discipline with schedule and time management
Organized with attention to detail
Ability to stand for long periods and lift/move objects weighing 50 pounds
Knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Compensation
College course credit is available. $15.00/hour + overtime when applicable

Hours
40 hours per week with overtime when applicable; evening and weekend hours will be necessary as the tournament approaches.
