Texoma FC is a USL League One expansion club committed to high standards both on and off the field. We are seeking Sporting Operations Interns who are looking for hands-on experience working alongside a professional coaching staff in a high-performance environment. You’ll assist in the daily operations of training, matchday execution, sport science, and performance logistics.
This is not a "sit in the office" internship. You’ll be on the field, in the locker room, around players and staff, and part of the real-time engine that drives our first team.
Responsibilities:
Training Support
Assist with daily training field setup and breakdown (cones, mannequins, bibs, balls, GPS trackers, etc.)
Monitor hydration stations and replenish supplies during sessions
Track equipment and locker room organization
Assist technical staff with warm-up prep and field flow management
Sport Science & Performance
Support staff with pre- and post-training metrics collection (wellness surveys, HR monitors, etc.)
Log hydration, nutrition, and recovery tracking for players
Assist in ice bath setup, cold towels, and post-session recovery needs
Matchday Duties
Assist with home team and visiting team locker room setup
Support referees with credentialing and coordination
Help with walkout organization, bench setup, and 4th official station
Post-match teardown, kit inventory, and hydration clean-up
Media + Comms Support (Optional based on interest/skill)
Capture behind-the-scenes content during training or matchdays
Assist media team with athlete highlights, mic’d-up moments, or social campaigns
Maintain content standards for pro-level social storytelling (if applicable)
Who Should Apply:
Students or recent grads in Sport Management, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Coaching, Athletic Training, or Communications
Passionate about soccer with a team-first, proactive mindset
Organized, energetic, and able to follow detailed direction
Comfortable around high-level athletes and working under pressure
Must be 18+ with reliable transportation to Sherman, TX
Available evenings/weekends (especially matchdays)
College Credit & Mentorship
Texoma FC will work directly with your school to help you receive internship or practicum credit
You will receive weekly feedback from coaching and ops staff, plus 1:1 mentorship check-ins
You'll gain insight into pro coaching dynamics, sporting logistics, and club culture building
