Mobile, Alabama, The University of South Alabama seeks applications for an internship position within the Men’s Basketball Program: Video Coordinator.
• This position serves as the video coordinator for the men’s basketball program. Provides support to the Men’s Basketball Coaching staff in all areas related to video production and management. The position manages video services and technical support for the Men’s Basketball program, while adhering to all NCAA, Conference, and institutional rules and regulations. Responsibilities:
• Manage all video-related activities for the University of South Alabama Men’s Basketball program, including the coordination, management, and video analysis of practice, opponents, and game film for study, development and scouting purposes.
• Coordinate the filming of all men’s basketball team practices, as well as, home and away games.
• Administers each area of film exchange program with opponents.
• Assist with all on campus recruiting visits and other recruiting duties, related to video.
• Edits film developed in-house, as well as, film developed by opponent programs for the purpose of scouting; edits season film for the purpose of play study, review, and evaluation.
• Develops and maintains film exchange agreements with opponent basketball programs for the purposes of mutual scouting.
• Develops and maintains inventory on video equipment, tapes, and peripheral equipment and related supplies.
• Stays current of the changes in technologies, college basketball industry, video editing, computers, videography, and other related aspects of position. Researches and assesses new videographic methods and technology, and makes recommendations for new equipment and process enhancements.
• Other duties as assigned by the head coach and assistant coaching staff.
